Obituary of Jerome K. "JC" Smith, Jr.

WATERVLIET- In loving memory of Jerome Smith (JC) age 14 of Watervliet. He was born on October 12, 2007, and Entered into Eternal Peace on February 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Jerome was a happy playful boy who loved his video games, watching YouTube videos, playing with dinosaurs, spending time with his cousins Kody and Payton, and a good game of UNO. He had such an infectious laugh that would make others laugh. Jerome enjoyed his Florida trips with his mom and favorite Aunt Dee and Cousin Nadia. He loved to go fishing and spend time with his Uncle Chad and Cousin Nick. Jerome also enjoyed his special time with his Grandma Ray. He simply enjoyed his time around his family and was truly full of life. JC was everyone's BUD! He is predeceased by his Grandfather Thomas Quick, Great Grandfather Donald Ray, Great Uncle David Ray. He leaves behind his mother Ashley Ray of Watervliet, father Jerome Smith of Albany, favorite Aunt Danielle Ray of Watervliet, Cousin Nadia Moran of Watervliet, Uncle Chad Ray of Troy, Uncle Donald Quick of Berlin, Uncle Thomas Quick of Troy, Aunt Trina Smith, his Nanny Sharon Ray, cousin Kody Quick, his cousin Stephanie Ray who was his "FaFa". Also survived by many other Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Jerome (JC) will be missed and loved beyond measure, a heart of gold, and the gentlest soul. He now continues his journey in heaven, until we meet again. Relatives and Friends are invited to call from 4-7PM on Friday, February 18th at Our Lady of Victory Church, 55 N Lake Ave, Troy, NY 12180. A Funeral Service will conclude the calling hours at 7 o'clock in the church.
