Obituary of Alice Alma Peetz

EAST GREENBUSH- Alice Alma Peetz, 91, of East Greenbush, formerly of Troy, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021. Born in Troy on December 8, 1929, Alice was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Kewlie) Fountain. She was the devoted wife of the late Russell W. Peetz, Sr. who passed away in 1970. Mrs. Peetz was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. In her youth she enjoyed roller and ice skating as well as swimming, boating, and listening to music. Alice was a fan of James Galway, a renowned and talented flutist. She was well traveled, having been to 35 states. Alice passed time peacefully by creating an array of quilts and patterns. She is survived by two children: Russell Peetz, Jr. and Pamela Shellard, as well as several grandchildren. In keeping with Alice's wishes there will be no viewing or funeral service. Her burial will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place beside her husband in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY.
