Obituary of Donald E. Willsey

SNYDER'S LAKE- Donald E. Willsey, 79, of Snyder's Lake, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2021. Born in Albany on December 4, 1941, Donald was the son of the late Lester Willsey and Margaret (Cornish) Dingman A lifelong resident of the Albany area, Donald was a member of Jet setter's CB Club in Albany. He will be warmly remembered for his love of his family and friends, his pleasant demeanor, and his talkative personality as well as his interest in cars (especially the 1957 Chevy and 1949 Ford). Donald was predeceased by his beloved wife of 37 years, the late Caroline M. "Carol" Willsey whom he married at the Snyder's Lake VFW in 1978. He was the loving father of: Kimberley A. Willsey (Eva) and Shari Yerman (Tommy), the cherished grandfather of Stratton K. Yerman and Robert M. Pues. Dear brother of Barbara Adams and Rich Willsey. Besides his wife and parents, Donald was predeceased by one grandson, Connor A. Yerman and siblings: Lester Willsey, Douglas Wilder, Debbie Cade and Dorothy Tice. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 1-3PM Wednesday, September 1st at Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, where prayers will be offered at 3PM in the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at a later date.
