Obituary of Linda Lockridge Little
TROY-
Linda LaRue Lockridge Little, 64, of Troy, passed away March 13, 2021 after a sudden stroke.
Linda was born in Troy on July 29, 1956 to Sara and Jordan Lockridge.
She attended St. Patrick's and Catholic Central High School. Linda graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1974 and also attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College before enlisting in the US Army in 1977. Linda received an honorable discharge for her service in 1980.
She was previously employed by Borden's Milk Company, Conrail and UPS.
Linda married Charles Little Jr., in 1986 and they had two children, Carlela and Charles Little III.
Linda was a gifted artist and interior designer. She had an eye for antiques and collectibles. Some say she inherited her expertise from her father who was also a collector. Linda was fiercely independent and loved her family and friends to an equal degree. She was very active in her community, especially when volunteering at food banks and assisting elderly friends and family.
Linda is survived by her mother, children, brothers; Michael, Joseph (Shawntay), Jason (Aishia), sisters; Kathy, Michele, Kim (John), Aunts; Betty Tucker, Ellen Lockridge and Sara Walton. She is predeceased by her father and grandparents. She will be missed by her grandchildren Dony and Cameron Geary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday March 29th at Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy where a service will be conducted at 7pm in the funeral home that evening.
The service will be live streamed to Riverview Funeral Home's Facebook page.
In honor of her veteran status, Linda will be interred with military honors on her 65th birthday on July 29, 2021 at Saratoga National Cemetery.
