Obituary of Barbara A. Schupp
LATHAM -
Barbara A. Schupp, 90, passed peacefully into Heaven on January 13, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Rensselaer on May 14, 1930, Barbara was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Flinn) Finnigan.
Barbara graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City in 1953. She performed and directed in a wide range of commercials and plays.
Barbara was a devoted wife to the late William L. Schupp. They were together for 64 years until his passing in 2018. She was a loving mother to Emily (James) Sickles and John (Cindy) Schupp. She had many beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also had a sister-in-law, Gertrude Schupp, with nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Lou Ann Schupp, as well as her brother-in-law, Robert Schupp.
Barbara was a support staff member for the Catholic Diocese of Albany for 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed going to plays, attending prayer groups, and vacationing in Lake George and Myrtle Beach with family and friends. Her greatest passions were her faith in God and dedication to her family.
Relatives and friends are invited and may attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 11:30am on Friday, January, 22 at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed with respect to the church and Diocesan guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
