Uncle Kevin, I have always remembered the kindness in you. You came right over to my grandfather Spiak's house the night he passed away. You were supportive. Just like you were when I was still devastated a month after Shane's suicide. You were the only one who understood why I couldn't have a relationship with my dad. I remember you telling me that there are times in our life when we have to stop letting people hurt us, even though you might still care. And finally, I remember you and Aunt Alice sitting in Johnny's hospice room all night, as the end drew near. You told me that some people say losing a sibling is the second and greatest loss a person can endure, after that of losing your own child. I loved you so much for those moments that made me feel understood. I won't forget you - your laughter, your understanding or the love you held in your heart for my beautiful Aunt Alice. I only hope you're together again. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
