Obituary of Jack Bradley Cox
It is with great sadness that the family of Jack B. Cox announces his sudden passing at the age of 76 years.
Jack was born on June 23, 1942 and was proud to be a life long resident of Troy, New York.
In the 1960's he was a member of the Iron Workers Union following in his fathers footsteps.
Over the past 40 years Jack owned and operated Jack's Auto Parts, providing a greatly appreciated service to the community. He was such a great man with a bigger than life personality who had so much love for every person in his family. He beamed with joy every time he saw his kids, grandkids and great grandkids .
Jack is survived by his children: Bonnie Lee Patterson (Randy), of Oklahoma City, OK, Jack B. Cox Jr, of Troy, NY, MaryLou Caplis (Michael) of Mooresville, NC, and Jennifer Cox of Holly Springs, NC. Jack was the proud grandfather of: Michael Patterson (Lisa), Blake, Brett and Christine Patterson, Jack B. Cox, III (Amanda), Ryan and Kiley Caplis, and Grady Cox and great grandfather of: Wyatt, Cassidy, Jayden, Maddox, Leo, and Serenity.
Other extended family includes; Devlin Duffy and children Jay, Madison and Keegan.
Jack is also survived by three siblings: William Cox, Marilyn Bibbee, Robert Cox and his niece Robin.
Grandpa Jack was always a prankster and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He filled our lives with many special memories and fun times. He will be greatly missed!
A Period of Visitation will be observed from 4-7 pm, Thursday Sept. 20, at The Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Ave. (corner of 104th St.), Troy , NY. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 22, 2018 with the time and place to be announced during the visitation.
