Obituary of Andrew Joseph Pelletier
Troy, NY
Andrew Joseph Pelletier, 89, born in Cohoes and residing much of his adult life in Troy, passed away after a brief illness on August 9, 2018.
He is survived by his former spouse, Martha Del Monte Pelletier of Wynantskill; children: Stephen Pelletier of Wynantskill, and Andrea Hebert (Robert) of Queensbury; grandchildren: Katie & Annie Paone, and his sisters Beatrice Lavigne, and Jeanette Sekurski (Kazimer).
Andrew served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War where he served as a cook and rifleman, earning the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Badge, and an honorable discharge. He spent much of his career as a meat cutter/meat department manager for Albany Public Markets and Helmbold's Market in Troy.
Services will be held at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church (175 Williams Rd, Troy, NY 12180) on Friday, August 17th with visitation from 3 to 4 pm with a memorial mass immediately following.
