Obituary of William Louis "Lou" Schupp
William L. Schupp Lou passed peacefully into heaven on July 9, 2018.
Lou graduated from Colgate University in 1954. From there, he enlisted
in the Army. After being discharged, he went to work for Mobil Oil.
Years later he started his own business Tri- Co- Lube (Oil Company)
in Rensselaer, NY.
After he retired, he volunteered for the Catholic Diocese in a
number of programs. Lou was also a parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville.
Lou enjoyed boating on Lake George and vacationing in Myrtle Beach
with his family. Cooking and gardening was his passion too.
Lou is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Ann Schupp, his children: John (Cindy) Schupp and Emily (James) Sickles, many grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Gertrude Schupp as well as several nieces and nephews.
Lou is pre-deceased by his 2 daughters Mary Elizabeth and Lou Ann,
his parents John and Elizabeth Schupp, and brother Robert Schupp.
A Memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2ndAvenue (corner of 104thSt.), Lansigburgh, on Thursday, July 19that 12 Noon with Fr. Mike Tyson officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 AM, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in Lous memory to the Albany Shelter at Mercy House, 12 St Joseph Terrace, Albany, NY 12210.
