Obituary of Julia Ann Strock
Mrs. Julia Ann Strock, 92, entered into eternal rest at The Eddy Memorial, in Troy, NY on February 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Julia was born on January 15, 1925 in Troy, NY and resided in Troy her entire life. Julia was one of 5 children.
She was married to Jesse A. Strock, WWII veteran and retired Troy police sergeant, for 55 years. Jesse pre-deceased Julia on January 4, 1998.
Julia attended Troy schools and was primarily a homemaker and a mother to her 7 children: David (deceased in 1991), Roger (Ruby) of Little Rock, James (Louise) of Watervliet, Thomas of Brunswick, Sheila (Steve) of Cohoes, Jeffrey of Brookfield, VT, and Scott (Jill) of Wilton. Julia was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Julia enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her family.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 7th, at 11:00 a.m. from the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Ave at 104th St. N.Troy, NY,12180. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Monday,
February 6, from 4 to 7 PM.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Life Enrichment Fund c/o The Eddy, 2256 Burdett Avenue, Troy, NY 12180.
The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of The Eddy for their outstanding care of Julia and support to the family.
