Obituary of Doris R. Kavoukian

ALBANY Doris R. (Kasarjian) Kavoukian, 86, of Albany, formerly of Sherman Oaks, CA and Delmar, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2016. Doris was born in Troy, NY on March 14, 1930 and was a longtime area resident. She was the daughter of the late John J. Kasarjian and Agavnie (Jamgochian) Kasarjian. Her parents ran a meat market for many years on River Street in Troy, NY. Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Martin Kavoukian, who died on November 3, 2012. She was also predeceased by her son John Kasarjian of Albany on August 28, 2014. Survivors include three grandchildren J.J., Christopher and Tiffany Kasarjian, her great grandchildren, a nephew, Michael (Linda) Kavoukian of Rensselaer and great niece, Marissa Kavoukian. Brothers and sisters from California also survive. The Funeral Rite will be conducted on Thursday, December 15th at 11 am from St. Peter Armenian Church, 100 Troy-Schenectady Road (Route 2), Watervliet. A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will follow at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Avenue, Troy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Riverview Funeral Home of Troy.
