Obituary of Edwin F. Wagar, Jr.
Troy-
Edwin F. Wagar, Jr., 77, died suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital on early Tuesday morning August 5th following an illness.
Edwin was born in Troy on November 7, 1936 to Edwin F. Wagar, Sr. and Ellen (Luke) Wagar. Edwin worked for the Tilley Ladder Company in Watervliet for over 20 years until his retirement. Edwin loved spending his summers at the Broken Wheel Campground with his late wife RoseMarie who predeceased him in 2012.
Survivors include his three sons, John Wagar of Mechanicville, Edward Wagar of Averill Park, and Richard Wagar of Troy, and his Daughter Lana Trombley, formerly from Cohoes. Edwin is also survived by his three stepsons Wayne Center, Warren Center and Brian Center, and a step-daughter, Darline Plath. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will commence at 11AM on Monday, August 11th from the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (Corner of 104th Street) in Lansingburgh. Interment will follow in Memory's Garden Memorial Park in Colonie where Edwin will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, RoseMarie.
Edwin will be reposing in the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home on Sunday evening August 10th. The Family will be present to receive relatives and friends from 4PM until 6PM.
