Obituary of Diane Elizabeth Struss

Brunswick, NY - Diane E. Struss of Brunswick died suddenly on July 14, 2014 at Albany Medical Center after sustaining injuries from a tragic car accident in the Town of Colonie. She was 57 years old. Beloved wife of Stephen H. Struss; cherished mother of Stephen Struss (Kelsey Stevenson); loving stepmother to Heidi Clementi of Waterford and Stephen Coonradt of Scotia; sister of Patricia (John) Marra of Grafton, Janice (Paul) Nicoll of Melrose, Mary Jo (Lewis) Church of Grafton, John J. Gillick, Jr. of Troy and Michael Gillick of Troy. Many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and friends as well as her beloved dog Carter also survive. She will be sorely missed. Diane was predeceased by her mother and father Ann (Williams) Gillick and John J. Gillick. Diane was employed for many years by Vantage Equipment in Colonie. With loving and generous spirit Diane elected to give the gift of life. Her final act of kindness will help save a life and her legacy will live on. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 in the Chapel of the Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th St.) Lansingburgh. The Family will be present to receive relatives and friends from 4PM until 8PM.
