Obituary of Alan R. Lamb
Alan R. Lamb
Scotia, NY - Alan R. Lamb, 66, of Scotia passed away gently and peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born June 23, 1946 in West Palm Beach, FL, he was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy Lamb.
Alan is survived by his caring and loving wife, Melissa Barriere Lamb whom he married on October 19, 1991.
He was a wonderful and devoted partner for over 31 years.
Alan is survived by his sister, Anna Chase of Fonda and his brother John Young and wife Patricia of Auburn.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
His furry son, Beau will really miss his "bunk buddy."
Alan was a local bartender and artist. He enjoyed spending time at home, puttering around the house and yard and cooking great meals.
Al had just celebrated his 66th birthday with an awesome birthday bash at "Rick's Place" with his family and friends.
While he was taken from us too soon, he was a very generous and loving person who will be remembered for his sense of humor, strength, sharp wit, loyalty, warmth, kindness and helpfulness to his friends, neighbors and family.
He leaves behind many close friends, especially his best friend, Joe Trumpler. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Janice Palmo for all the compassionate care, friendship and support she bestowed on Al.
Al will be deeply missed by all.
May he rest in peace.
