Obituary of Pauline Ruth Clements

Pauline Ruth "Stevie" Clements Pauline Ruth "Stevie" Clements, age 87 of Chatham, NY died Sunday, June 3, 2012. Born in Madison, Maine on July 6, 1924, Stevie was the daughter of the late Caleb Dalton and Ruth H. Stevens. She served in the US Navy during WWII (Waves). Stevie attended the University of Maine, Alfred University and Empire State College earning a BS in Ceramic Art. Stevie is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Alvord W. Clements, sons Mark (aka Lev Lemech)(Gail) of Troy, NY and Randall (Bonnie) Clements of Valatie, NY. She was the grandmother of Kyle Clements of Hudson, NY and Carey Clements of Troy, NY and the great grandmother of Luna and Aurora Clements. Stevie is also survived by her sisters Barbara Comstock, Jean Smith, Mary Manglass and brother Caleb Dalton Stevens. She is predeceased by sister Lois Morrison. The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Columbia Greene Hospice for their love and support during this time of need. A graveside service to celebrate Stevie's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Chatham Rural Cemetery. A receptionwill follow in the community hall at St. James Catholic Church. Those wishing to remember her may make a contribution to Community Hospice of Columbia and Greene Counties.
