Obituary of Ephrem E. Bell
Troy
Ephrem E. Bell, 86, formerly of 9th Street Troy, died at Albany Medical Center Hospital on Monday, February 6, after a sudden illness.
Born in Redford, NY he was raised there and attended Redford Schools.
He was a resident of Troy, NY for 65 years.
Ephrem worked in construction for most of his life and was affiliated with Local 190 of the Construction and General Laborer's Union in Glenmont, NY.
He was a communicant of the former St. Peter's Church in Troy as well as a member of the St. Vincent dePaul Society and the Knights of Columbus that were affiliated with St. Peter's Church.
He was married to Marion Carter Bell for 65 years until her death in 2010.
He is survived by his daughter; Gail E. Tracy of Cohoes;
his son, Edward Bell of Troy; sister Geraldine Ryan of Chatagay, NY; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as his "good buddy" Cliff Laviolette of Cohoes.
Besides his wife he was also predeceased by two children: Gloria Jean Bell and Daniel Joseph Bell and 9 siblings.
Funeral Thursday morning at 10:30 am from the Riverview Funeral Home, Inc., 218 2nd Avenue Troy and at 11 o'clock at St. Augustine's Church, 115th Street N. Troy, where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may also call at the Riverview Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy.
