Obituary of Paul R. Nudelman
Albany
Paul R. Nudelman of Albany, died on February 3 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a valiant struggle against cancer. Born in Gloversville, NY on March 5, 1940, he moved with his family to Albany in 1954.
After graduating from Albany High School and RPI, he had a range of jobs which reflected both his training as a chemist and his skills with language and keyboard: chemist at Sterling Winthrop Research Institute; pianist for the Joffrey Ballet; church organist and editor for various medical and scientific journals.
He took delight in his family and friendships, literature and language; his passionwas listening to, playing and sharing music, especially classical.
He brought to everything he did an open, wondrous curiosity.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Alice and David Gorman of Syracuse and by a group of exceptionally caring friends.
A private memorial is being planned.
