Obituary of Martha E. Putnam

Martha E. Putnam passed on January 28, 2011 at Baptist Health, Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. She was 93 years of age. Martha was the daughter of the late Rollin and Florence Eldridge. She was also predeceased by her husband, John L Putnam, a son, John L.D. Putnam and her long time companion Burton Taylor. She is survived by her children Richard W. Putnam (Barbara) of Schenectady, Thomas A. Putnam, Patricia M. Dashnaw (Richard) of MO, Joanne J Callahan (Daniel) of Schenectady, Penelope G. Crowley (Edward) of TN, Suzette Y. Putnam of Canajoharie, Carletta R. Taylor (Richard) of Schenectady, Lynette A. Bates (John) of Schenectady and daughter-in-law, Donna M. Putnam (John) of Canajoharie. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Martha worked several years as a CNA at Saratoga Hospital. She was an avid crafter, animal lover, Jeff Gordon and Miami Dolphins Fan. A Memorial Service will take place at the Schenectady Eagles, 1130 Third Avenue beginning at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Any donations or flowers may be sent to Baptist HNR Center, 297 N.
