Obituary of Lorraine Fischetti

Lorraine Fischetti, 87, died Friday January 28th at St Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY. Born in Stapleton, Staten Island, Lorraine Wheeler lived most of her life there before moving to the Dongan Hill Berry Homes where she had spent most of her senior years as an active member in their Senior Center. She moved from Dongan Hills to Margate, Florida where she lived for about 10 years. Lorraine always had her heart set on returning to her home state of New York and made another move upstate in 2009 to Gloversville, NY, where she lived until her recent passing. Lorraine worked as a fashion sales clerk for Orbachs in Manhatten. She married and became a homemaker raising her three children. Her husband Joseph Fischetti died in 1958. Surviving are her daughter Bernadette Mackie, a son David Fischetti, his wife Sheila, another son Timothy Metacarpa, his wife Patricia, a grandson John Mackie, his wife Allison and another grandson Anthony Metacarpa. A Graveside Service will be held at Silver Mount Cemetery, located at 918 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, NY on Febuary 19th at 12PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
