Obituary of Raymond H. Mayo, Jr.
TROY –
Raymond H. Mayo, Jr., 78 of Troy, formerly of Champlain, NY (Essex County), passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.
Raymond H. Mayo, Jr., affectionately called "Bébé'' by his family, was born in Champlain, NY on March 22, 1945.
He was the son of the late Raymond H. Mayo, Sr. and Evelyn (St. Andrew) Mayo.
Raymond, Jr. was raised in Champlain, NY, graduated High School, and has been a resident of Troy, NY for all of his adult life.
He was employed as a geriatrics aid at The Eddy nursing facilities.
Survivors include one sister Barbara Suhalla of Guilderland, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Raymond, Jr. was predeceased by siblings: Betty Malo of Troy, Lester ("Sonny") Mayo of Lancaster, CA , Shirley Genier and Marie Mayo both of Waterford NY.
Cremation has taken place through the care of The Riverview Funeral Home, Inc.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services.
