Obituary of Steven Lawrence Lozo
TROY –
Mr. Steven Lawrence Lozo, 72, of Troy, was called home by his Lord and Savior on August 13, 2024 following a long illness.
Steven was born on July 18, 1952 in Troy. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Caroline (Doin) Lozo.
Steven was a graduate of Troy High School and also Hudson Valley Community College. From 1969 until 1972 he served in the United States Marine Corps., and received an honorable discharge for his service.
For many years, Mr. Lozo was a sheet metal worker with the Local 83 Union in Clifton Park.
Anyone who knew Steven, knew that he loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. His deep faith allowed him to recite Biblical scriptures from memory and explain the context of the word in a relatable manner that anyone could understand and appreciate.
In his private time, he enjoyed watching movies, attending concerts, camping trips and practicing shooting at the rifle range. His beloved canine companion Max was always by his side.
Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Lozo, and two grandsons: Nicholas Rigney and Kadyn Torturo. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Anita (Joseph) Hansbury, Robert (Colleen) Lozo, Monica (the late Gary) Cayton, Jerry (Debby) Lozo, Helen (Mike) Thomas, Rebecca (Don) Temple and Charlie (Sheila) Lozo. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his beloved wife of 48 years, Sharon Lisa (Bayly) Lozo, who passed away on October 18, 2023. Steven was also predeceased by a beloved son, Jamie Steven Lozo on May 8, 2021 and a dear sister, Carolyn (Lozo) Crobok on November 27, 2022.
