I met Deborah about 3 years ago at the Lansingburgh library, while she was volunteering in the bookseller (book store). Her joyful personality and welcoming demeanor was inspiring! As a result of my interactions with her, I decided to volunteer there, too. Following this, I introduced her to the YWCA, where she volunteered and was employed. She became a wonderful addition to the staff/community. It has been sometime since seeing Deborah and Jimmy, but after finding out about her death last week, I believed even greater that angels existed on earth... and now, in heaven. Blessings to Jimmy and family. Troy was a better place with Deborah's smile and essence and she will be remembered warmly.
